Followup Neighbors Together 2017 Thanksgiving Dinner

Doors opened at 12:30 / We started serving at 1:00

We had a tremendous turnout this year of 180+ people & 60+ Volunteers!!

We’d like to thank everyone for the the tremendous turnout of our volunteers and local businesses for the generosity of time and groceries. We’d especially like to thank the First Presbyterian Church for the use of the Friendship Center again this year and all the help they extended to make this year’s dinner a success!

Groceries including 30+ Turkeys and lots of potatoes

3 gallons of milk and small cartons of milk, 6 lbs butter and pats of butter, dozens of eggs, half & half and cream, whipped cream and sour cream. Donated by Meadow Gold.

We had: Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, candied yams, green bean casserole, buttered peas, rolls, pie and plenty of fixin’s!

Cost: We provide an opportunity to donate to Neighbors Together; otherwise, the meal is free to all.

The Entire Cost of our 2017 Thanksgiving Dinner was covered by donations from local businesses and attendees! Thank You!!

We are so thankful for the fantastic turnout and grateful for our fantastic community that stepped up and got involved!

At one time we were worried that we wouldn’t have enough volunteers but we ended up with plenty and compared to last year, this event went even smoother with a year under our belt.
